About payments

Vitesse enables you to send payments from your Vitesse accounts to recipients around the world.

When you make a payment, you specify the account to pay from, the amount and currency, and the recipient and their payment details. Vitesse validates the payment and sends it for processing through the appropriate payment network or banking partner.

How payments are delivered

Vitesse connects to different payment networks and banking partners to deliver payments. Depending on the currency and destination, a payment may use a domestic payment network or an international payment network such as SWIFT.

For example, Vitesse may deliver payments through local networks such as Faster Payments in the UK, ACH in the US, or SEPA in Europe.

The available payment options depend on:

• The Vitesse hub you use
• The destination country
• The payment currency
• The payment method

Where more than one option is available, Vitesse determines how the payment is processed based on the payment details and available payment services.

Payment data requirements

The information required to make a payment varies by currency, destination country, and payment method.

For example, a UK bank payment may require an account number and sort code, while a payment to another country may require an IBAN and SWIFT/BIC. Some payments may also require additional information about the recipient, their address, or their bank.

Vitesse validates the payment details against the applicable requirements before the payment is processed.

Before making a payment

To make a payment, you need:

• A Vitesse account with sufficient available funds
• The payment amount and currency
• The recipient's details
• The banking or other payment details required for the destination and currency

When submitted, you can track the payment and its status in Vitesse.
